A study in 2019 used CBD to treat people who were struggling with anxiety and sleep. Almost 80% of people’s anxiety improved.

Researchers found that 300-600mg of CBD significantly reduced anxiety symptoms in 57 adult males in a 2019 study.


The researchers found that an oral dose of 300 mg, administered 90 minutes before the test, was enough to significantly reduce the speakers’ anxiety.

Overall, existing preclinical evidence strongly supports the potential of CBD as a treatment for anxiety disorders.

In 2011, a study researched CBD’s effects on people with SAD. Participants were given an oral dose of 400 milligrams (mg) of CBD or a placebo. Those who received CBD experienced overall reduced anxiety levels.

Assessing the effect of hemp oil on 72 people with an anxiety or sleep disorder, researchers found it reduced anxiety in 79.2 of the study participants
